At Aurora Community Church, we believe in serving people from the cradle to the grave, and we celebrate every stage of life as part of God’s plan for living life to the fullest. For those aged 65 and older, we offer a vibrant Seniors Ministry designed to foster spiritual growth, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to
serve and enjoy life together.
Psalm 92:14 beautifully highlights the value of older generations: “They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.” At Aurora, we honor the wisdom, experience, and contributions of our senior members, recognizing their indispensable role in the life of the church and community.
Billy Graham once said, “The older generation may have the wisdom and experience, but they also have a responsibility to pass that on to the younger generation in the church.” This reflects our vision for Aurora Seniors Ministry: creating spaces where seniors can flourish, contribute, and enjoy fellowship
while mentoring and inspiring others.
Our ministry serves seniors holistically, offering Bible studies, luncheons, retreats, workdays, movie nights, and excursions to explore and connect with the community. Whether it’s through visiting those who are homebound, enjoying a shared meal, or diving into the Word of God, we provide opportunities to stay active,
connected, and spiritually enriched.
