Aurora Missions Ministry: Living the Great Commission
At Aurora Community Church, we take the Great Commission to heart. Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20 to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and Acts 1:8 reminds us of our mission to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. This is not an “either-or” calling—it’s a “both-and” mission that compels us to serve across the street, across our state, across the country, and across the world.
Our Missions Ministry reflects this vision, targeting all four areas simultaneously:
• Jerusalem (Local Community): We are active in service projects in Shoreline, Edmonds, and Seattle, supporting neighbors in need, volunteering at local shelters, and partnering with organizations that bring hope to our community.
• Judea (Our State): We engage with projects across Washington, joining efforts that include disaster response, community revitalization, and outreach to underserved areas.
• Samaria (Our Nation): As part of the Church of the Nazarene, we collaborate with hundreds of churches across the U.S., helping with initiatives such as planting new congregations, supporting mission stations, and providing disaster care.
• The Ends of the Earth (Global Missions): With 32,000 Nazarene congregations worldwide, we are part of an international network supporting missionaries in Africa, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. At Aurora, we engage with these global efforts through mission trips, financial support, collecting goods, and staying connected with the stories and needs of our global church family.
As a congregation, we keep our members informed and inspired by sharing updates on global evangelism and providing opportunities to get involved. Whether through prayer, financial contributions, volunteering, or participating in mission trips, there’s a role for
everyone in this thriving ministry.

We welcome contributions in the form of finances, goods, or willing hands. Together, let’s take responsibility for the entirety of the Great Commission and share the love of Jesus to the ends of the earth!

Alabaster offering 2/1/26 - 3/1/26
What Is Alabaster?
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.”
Use of Alabaster funds
Alabaster funds are to be used for new churches to:
• Purchase a property or church building
• Purchase or build a church parsonage
• Build a church building
• Conversion of a property into a church gathering space
• Meet initial costs for renting a church meeting space for a limited period
Alabaster funds may also be used to:
• Purchase or build missionary homes
• Purchase or build regional or field missions facilities
• Build or repurpose buildings on Bible college campuses
